LEGO D&D Modulars
Ettercap Investigations
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) has been a lifelong gaming pastime of mine, ever since I first roleplayed as a paladin fighting off goblin swarms in middle school. Nearly 20 years later the storylines, worldbuilding, and camaraderie that originally drew me to the game still gives me great joy, and I now participate in a nearly 7-year-long in-person game with friends. Our current campaign is centered on our group’s private eye firm, Ettercap Investigations; as a fan of LEGO modulars, it was a perfect opportunity to combine my passions and create a highly detailed, 4,500 piece model of our team’s headquarters.
Tenebrum Emporium
The year after building Ettercap Investigations, I began work on The Tenebrum Emporium, an in-game extradimensional magic item shop from the same campaign. This was a particular challenge, as I wished to maintain the detail of Ettercap Investigations while designing an interior that was “larger” on the inside- this was accomplished via a series of hinges and folding walls and walkways.
